Clinical research seeks to answer questions about the causes of diseases and to improve health outcomes. Many research projects support the work of our dedicated staff and help us improve our health programs and direct care.

Our research is undertaken in conjunction with multiple leading universities. Mercy Health currently holds four professorial chairs: Chair of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (The University of Melbourne), Chair of Midwifery (La Trobe University), Chair of Community Medicine (Notre Dame University) and Chair of Maternal Fetal Medicine (The University of Melbourne) in addition to multiple Associate Professorial positions. Mercy Health is now set to establish the first Australian Chair of Aged Care.
