  • As a patient of Mercy Health, you have a right to expect high quality, prompt and courteous treatment from our staff. You have a responsibility to provide us with information about your health to help us make the best choices about your care, and to treat all staff, visitors and your fellow patients with respect. These and other rights and responsibilities are set out in the Patient/Client Rights and Responsibilities brochure which is given to all patients.
     

    Copies are available from your ward. Please ask nursing/midwifery staff if you require any clarification in regards to your rights and responsibilities.

     

    Compliments and Complaints

    Patients of Mercy Hospital for Women wishing to provide feedback to the hospital may do so using a yellow Triple C form (Communication, Complaint, Compliments). Click here for the Werribee Mercy Hospital Feedback Form. These forms are located throughout the hospital. Patients who wish to make a complaint about any aspect of care or service have several options - discuss with the Unit Manager/Department Head of the area concerned, fill in a Triple C form, contact the Patient Liaison Officer. It is advisable to ask to speak with the manager of the department or person in charge in the first instance.

     

    Health Services Commissioner

    If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a complaint, you may write and or call the Health Services Commissioner on 03 8601 5200. This is an independent agency available to anyone who has a complaint about a health service in Victoria.
