    Visitors are welcome at Mercy Hospital for Women. Women and babies cared for at the hospital need rest and privacy, so we ask that you only visit during these hours. Children are most welcome, and for the consideration of all patients, must be supervised at all times. 
     

    Hospital Visiting & Opening Hours

    The main entrance to the hospital opens at 6.00am and closes at 9.30pm. Outside of these hours you can use the Mercy Hospital for Women emergency entrance in Burgundy Street.


    • Neonatal Special Care Nurseries: Family and friends may visit from 10.00am – 10.00 pm. Parents can visit anytime.
    • Ante/postnatal Ward: Family and friends may visit daily between 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm. Partners and children are able to visit anytime from 8 am – 9.30 pm.
    • Inpatient Gynaecology Ward: Family and friends may visit daily between 2:00 - 3.30 pm and 6.30 – 8.00 pm.

    • Emergency Department: 24 hours - seven days a week
    • Reception: Monday - Friday: 7.00am - 8.00pm
    • Weekends & Public Hols: 12.30pm - 8.00pm
    • Emergency Department: 24 hours - seven days a week
    • Day Procedure Admissions: Monday - Friday: 7.00am - 8.00pm
    • Physiotherapy: Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 4.30pm
    • MIA (X-ray): Monday - Saturday: 8.00am - 8.00pm
    • Consulting Suites: Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 5.30pm

    Hospital Visiting Hours

    • General Wards: 2.00pm - 8.00pm
    • Maternity Wards: 2.30pm - 4.00pm and 6.30pm - 8.00pm

    Please note that visiting is discouraged during mornings, apart from in exceptional circumstances. Children are most welcome, and for the consideration of all patients, must be supervised at all times.


    • Psychiatric Unit: 3.30 - 8.00pm
    • Mother Baby Unit: 4.00 - 8.00pm

    Visitors are asked to inform reception or nursing staff when they arrive and leave. Out-of-hours visiting can be negotiated with the staff.

    At the reception desk there is a list of items that cannot be brought into the unit. Please note, this is a totally smoke free site (buildings, grounds and car parks).

    Weekdays: 3.30pm-8.00pm
    Weekends: 9.30am-8.00pm

    Burnside PARC Visiting Hours: 10am - 8.30pm

    Families and carers are encouraged to participate in an individual’s recovery process.

    Information on health management, treatment progress, medication and associated side effects can be made available.

    Families are encouraged to visit and weekend leave is available.

    However, mid-week leave is discouraged (other than in exceptional circumstances) to give people the best chance to benefit from the program.

     


    O’Connell Family Centre 

    Mercy Health O'Connell Family Centre is completely smoke free, including all buildings and grounds.

    There is free parking on-site.

     

     

    Well Womens Clinic  

    The Well Women's Clinic is a non-residential facility.


     

    PANCH Clinic

    The Mercy Health PANCH Outpatient's Clinic is a non-residential facility.

     



    Palliative Care 

    Mercy Health Palliative Care works with the Royal District Nursing Service to provide community based palliative care in the patient's place of residence.

     

    Lymphoedema Clinics 

    Mercy Health's Lymphoedema Clinics are non-residential.

     


    Albury Mercy Care Centre 

     Albury Mercy Care Centre is a non-residential facility that works closely with Mercy Place Albury.

    Mercy Place Albury Aged Care Residence 

     

     

    Young Mercy Care Centre 

    Young Mercy Care Centre is a non-residential facility that works closely with Mt St Joseph's Nursing Home.
