Mercy Hospital for Women has a proud history of providing Victorian women with maternity, gynaecology and neonatal care. At Mercy Hospital for Women we recognise that expectant mothers have differing needs and that you want the type of care that best suits your individual circumstances.

Making a booking

We encourage women to see their GP's first and obtain a referral. If you wish to speak to a midwife you can call triage on (03) 8458 4111 between 9.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
 

Alternatively, if assessed suitable, you may choose to have your baby in the Family Birth Centre. If you wish to choose the Family Birth Centre, please organise a tour by phoning (03) 8458 4082.  

Private patients

If you have private health insurance or would like to pay for private care you will see an obstetrician of your choice for all care before, during and after the birth of your baby.

You will be able to stay in either a two-bed shared room or a single private room, both of which have ensuite facilities. Most rooms also have outstanding views.
