We provide support and education for families who need assistance with parenting children up to four years of age.

We also provide education and training for health professionals who work with families.

Support is available for families experiencing difficulties such as:

• Adjusting to parenting and family relationships
• Feeding and nutrition, including breastfeeding and the introduction of solids
• Health, growth and the development of children
• Early behavioural difficulties
• Sleeping and settling

Help is offered through residential and day stay programs at our centre in Canterbury or through day stay programs at various locations in Melbourne.

Fathers

We recognise and support the role of fathers in the family. Fathers are encouraged to join in our programs and information sessions to feel more confident and take a more active role in caring for their children.
 

FatherZone

This one day education program recognises men's ability and desire to nurture and care for young children. It emphasises the importance of early attachment and interaction.

It aims to:

• Support men in their fathering role
• Increase men's involvement and enjoyment of their children
• Increase knowledge and skills for improved care giving and satisfaction
• Provide a forum for men to share experiences and concerns
• Work through issues facing fathers, such as work pressures or shared parenting for non-custodial fathers
• Discuss relationships and sharing the load of parenting
