NURSES AND MIDWIVES (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2012 ï¿½ 2016
This notice is to inform you that the proposed Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2012 ï¿½ 2016 ï¿½proposed Agreementï¿½ has now been finalised.
The proposed Agreement represents the settlement negotiated between VHIA and ANF with the assistance of the Department of Health.
The proposed Agreement covers
Registered Nurses, Midwives and Enrolled Nurses (other than Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses employed solely or predominantly in the provision of public mental health services).
Therefore, Mercy Public Hospitals Inc must now provide Nurses/Midwives with a copy of the proposed Agreement (
Attachment A) and the National Employment Standards (
Hardcopies of the proposed Agreement will be made available at each location.
Also attached (
Attachment C) is a summary of the main changes in entitlements however Mercy Public Hospitals Inc strongly recommends that you read the entire Agreement.
The Employers to be covered by the proposed Agreement must now undertake a ballot of
The parties have agreed that the Australian Electoral Commission will conduct the ballot via post. The ballot involves eligible employees with the opportunity to vote for the approval or non-approval of the proposed Agreement. Attached (
Attachment D) is a timeline/process of the ballot.
It is worth noting that more than 50% of all eligible employees (statewide) that vote must vote for the approval of the Agreement in order for the Employers to be covered by the proposed Agreement to submit the proposed Agreement to Fair Work Australia.
