Werribee Mercy Hospital offers a variety of opportunities for graduate nurses and postgraduate study. All participants of the graduate and postgraduate nursing and midwifery programs attend regular paid study days, clinical debriefing / supervision sessions and support from well prepared preceptors and mentors.

Werribee Mercy Hospital is affiliated with several universities for the provision of postgraduate certificates or diplomas in mental health, midwifery, emergency, palliative care and perioperative nursing.

Graduate Nurse Programs

Werribee Mercy Hospital provides several graduate nurse and graduate midwife programs for 30-40 newly registered nurses and midwives annually. These 12 month supportive programs commence in February.

The Different Types of Graduate Programs include:

General Graduate Nurse Program

Dual Midwifery and General Nursing Program  

Midwifery Graduate Program (for direct entry midwives)
