Anzac Centenary program

Event: 2 March 2016

As part of the Victorian Government's Anzac Centenary program (2014-2018) a free community roadshow visited Mercy Place East Melbourne yesterday. The roadshow, which included storytelling, live theatre performances, video, and interactive content was attended by the Member for Melbourne, Ellen Sandell, and Victorian State President of the Returned and Services League, Major General David McLachlan. The roadshow demonstrates the challenges and sacrifices soldiers, their families, nurses, doctors and Red Cross members went through during the First World War. It also provided information to residents and their family members about how to research their local area's contribution to the war.
