Dementia is an issue of growing concern in Australian healthcare. Over 300,000 Australians are currently living with this disease a figure estimated to reach 900,000 by 2050.

Professor McInerney will provide an overview of dementia, its major causes and symptoms. Participants will also have the opportunity to share experiences of caring for people with dementia.

The workshop is designed for anyone with an interest in understanding more about this most challenging condition, including those working in health and aged care settings.
