​Mother Baby Services

The Mother Baby Service is a specialist mental health service available to women and babies up to 12 months of age in western metropolitan Melbourne. These services are also available in the rural shires of Loddon Campaspe, Loddon Mallee, Glenelg, Barwon and Grampians.

The Mother Baby Service provides the following services:

* antenatal and postnatal psychiatry

* mother baby psychiatry and infant mental health

* assessment and management of psychiatric disorders in pregnancy and post birth

Mother Baby Assessment and Referral Clinic

The Mother Baby Assessment and Referral Clinic provides assessment and treatment recommendations of psychiatric disorders in pregnancy and post birth.

Mother Baby Unit (MBU) (including antenatal and postnatal psychiatry)

The Mother Baby Unit (MBU) is located at the Werribee Mercy Hospital and is an eight bed, eight cot inpatient unit providing specialist inpatient mental health care for mothers with infants of up to 12 months of age.
