    The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day and provides care for women with pregnancy related problems, management of acute gynaecology problems and review of babies born at MHW up to 2 weeks of age.

  • All patients presenting at the Emergency Department are triaged by experienced midwives who will assess your immediate health needs, and determine the priority for treatment commencement. More serious cases are given priority. A phone call before arrival would assist and you may be referred to your GP for certain problems. The Emergency Department phone number is 8458 4000.

  • Werribee Mercy Hospital
    The Accident and Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides urgent medical care to members of the community who present for assessment and treatment. The Department is staffed by specialist emergency personnel offering a comprehensive and caring service to patients.
