Phones, Electrical Devices and Computers

  • Mobile phones

    Mobile phones can be disruptive and increase noise in the hospital environment. Please consider others before using your phone. Please check with nursing/midwifery staff prior to using mobile phone.

    Electrical Devices

    All Electrical appliances brought into hospital need to be checked by Engineering prior to use, for example, hairdryers or mobile phone chargers. Please speak to a staff member to have electrical equipment checked or it will be unable to be used during your stay.

    Computers

    Laptop computers may only be used by special arrangement. Only stand alone bases or wireless connection (prohibited in clinical/patient areas) may be used as no connection is available to the telephone system.
