Mobile Psychiatric Support

  • The Mobile Support Team is available to people between 16 and 64 years of age with severe mental illness who live in the Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong or Wyndham area.

    The service is for people who:
    • Have been case managed with limited success by clinical based services
    • Have potential for rehabilitation
    • Have complex needs (financial, physical, social, legal, alcohol or drug)
    • Have treatment resistant symptoms
    • Are prone to rapid relapse
    • Have difficulty sticking to their treatment
    • Are socially isolated

    The Mobile Support Team supports clients and carers in their own environment or in a clinic.

    They assist with issues such as:
    • Accommodation
    • Leisure
    • Physical health
    • Living skills and social support
    • Financial, counselling, employment, drug and alcohol issues
    • Medication, psychiatric illness education
    • Relapse management
    • Referral for support for carers
    Mobile Support Team operates seven days a week:
    • Monday to Friday, 9am-7.30pm
    • Weekends and public holidays: 9am-5pm
