• Palliative care is specialist care for people with a terminal illness.

  • At Werribee Mercy Hospital palliative care beds are available to provide symptom control, respite care and terminal care. The unit liaises closely with the palliative care consultant, the community provider, Mercy Palliative Care and the multidisciplinary team who work together to provide optimal care to each patient, their family and friends.

  • Mercy Health Albury's Palliative Care service provides specialist nurses and professional allied health staff supported by a team of volunteers. The service also offers support to family, friends and carers to help them cope with problems associated with the client's illness.
  • Mercy Palliative Care offers a level of specialist care that focuses on quality of life. Palliative care providers work together with family and carers.
  • At Mercy Palliative Care we care for the whole person: physical, spiritual, emotional and social.

  • We care for patients of all ages offering:
    • Pain management
    • Symptom control
    • Personal support such as counselling and music therapy
    • Practical support such as equipment, respite, managing financial issues
    • Spiritual support
