• This type of care is for women with uncomplicated pregnancies who would like an increased chance of knowing the midwife who will be caring for them in labour and during their hospital stay.

As you progress through your pregnancy you will meet many of the midwives from your team. Midwives work rostered shifts and there is an increased chance that you will know the midwife caring for you in labour and during your hospital stay.

Our midwives work closely with medical and allied health staff to ensure that you receive the best and most appropriate care during your pregnancy. You can expect to stay in hospital for two nights if you have a normal birth and three if you have a caesarean. A midwife from our home visiting team will see you at home to continue your care.

This type of care offers morning, afternoon and evening clinics.
