• Our Services

Mercy Health O'Connell Family Centre is a statewide service that welcomes families of all cultures. We support the wellbeing of the whole family for families with children up to the age of 4 years.

Families are referred to us by health professionals and community providers.

Our services are directed towards families who are experiencing complex issues and who require increased support in addition to the support provided by the professionals in the local community.

Our services are provided by a team of professionals. The service and delivery of care is based on the needs of individual families.

Our practice is culturally inclusive and we recognise that a family can consist of many different configurations.

Our programs consist of parenting sessions, day stay and residential programs.

Issues parents may identify as impacting on their parenting capacity include:

    •     Adjusting to parenting and family relationships
    •     Social and emotional adjustment difficulties in the transition to parenting
    •     Feeding and nutrition
    •     Growth and development
    •     Behavioural challenges
    •     General parenting skills
    •     Multiple births
