Mercy Health aged care homes

Mercy Health Residential Aged Care homes help older people to live comfortably, maintain their lifestyle and stay connected to their community, family and friends.

About Mercy Health

Older Australians trust Mercy Health to care for them in residential aged care and in their homes and communities. For almost two decades, our qualified and compassionate teams across Australia have supported people to live the lives they choose.

Comfortable, new and refurbished homes are situated in the heart of vibrant communities in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.

Residents with a range of care needs experience care and a lifestyle that supports physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Mercy Health teams partner with residents and their families to live the best possible day, each and every day.

  • We empower people to continue to actively participate in life, maintaining independence and social connections to friends, family and community.

History

Caring for others has been at the centre of Mercy life since the creation of hospitals and schools by the Sisters of Mercy in Australia 1846.

Mission

Our mission is to follow Jesus Christ in His mission of mercy through the delivery of health, aged care and community services.

Vision

Our vision is to build an enduring capacity and passion to serve those with special needs.

Values

Our model of residential aged care is built around our Christian beliefs that human life is sacred and must be respected, and that relationships are critical to our sense of wellbeing. These beliefs inform our model's key themes. We empower people to continue to actively participate in life, maintaining their independence and social connections to friends, family and community.

We aim to create a home which enriches the lives of the elderly by working to overcome boredom, inactivity, isolation and depression. We outline strategies to promote health and wellbeing, noting that - while medical and nursing components are important to enabling care - they are not its focus.

We aspire to ensure each resident has the best day possible, each and every day.
