The Burnside Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) is a clinical and rehabilitation treatment program. This 10 bed residential program is managed in partnership with Cohealth.

The program, used on a voluntary basis, provides recovery focused support known as 'Step up/Step down'.

Step up: Short term intensive support to aid in preventing deterioration of mental health and/or need for psychiatric hospital admission.

Step down: For consumers who no longer need to be in an inpatient psychiatric hospital but would benefit from short term intensive support before returning home.

PARC provides individual and group programs to support consumers to develop an individual recovery plan which may include:

* gaining or regaining confidence and independence in daily living skills

* maintaining daily routines and connections

* developing social supports

* recognising early warning signs

* medication and clinical reviews
