Lifelong friendship rekindled at Mercy Place Fernhill

Two of our residents at Mercy Place Fernhill, Iris Palmington and Moira Scully, have been featured in the Good Weekend’s cherished “Two of Us” column this week.

More than 50 years after working together in a busy newsagency in Sandringham, Iris and Moira were joyfully reunited when they both moved into our aged care home in Melbourne. Now aged 100 and 95 respectively, the pair share meals, movie nights, and fond memories – a reminder of the enduring value of friendship and shared history.

Their warm and witty reflections, including tales of tiaras, TattsLotto and football rivalries, have touched hearts across the country.
