Mercy Health Bethlehem celebrates 60 years of care

Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged in Bendigo has marked a diamond milestone — 60 years of providing compassionate care to the community.

The Diamond Jubilee High Tea brought together residents, families, staff and friends for a memorable afternoon. Guests were welcomed with a formal recognition service in the chapel before enjoying a sparkling high tea with delicious treats and champagne.

Tables were beautifully decorated with red roses and sprinkled with “diamonds” to mark the occasion, while a special heritage table displayed treasured memorabilia, photos and disco balls to add some sparkle. The displays paid tribute to Bethlehem’s history and the many people who have called it home over the decades.

The festivities didn’t go unnoticed — The Bendigo Times featured Mercy Health Bethlehem on the front cover of its print edition, and WIN News Bendigo captured the joy and community spirit of the day.
