Mercy Health’s Professor Peter Dwyer and Diane Wright awarded an OAM

We are very proud to announce that two of our staff members — Mercy Hospital for Women Director of Urogynaecology Professor Peter Dwyer and Mercy Place Colac Pastoral Care Associate Diane Wright — were honoured in this year’s Australia Day awards.

Professor Peter Dwyer was awarded the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding service in medicine as an obstetrician and gynaecologist. Diane Wright was awarded an OAM for her tireless contribution to community health, particularly through her establishment of the Anam Cara hospices in Geelong and Colac, and her pastoral care work at Mercy Place Colac for the past 10 years.

Congratulations to Professor Peter Dwyer and Diane Wright for their outstanding achievements.
