Golden Square Retirement Living Unit planning application

  • Read in 1 minute

Mercy Health is hosting its second community drop-in session to showcase its plans to develop more than 150 Retirement Living Units in Golden Square.

The City of Greater Bendigo is currently advertising the development and residents will have the opportunity to find out more about it at a drop-in information session. The event will be held at Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged at 36-42 Specimen Hill Road, Bendigo on Tuesday 29 November from 3pm until 7pm.

Mercy Health Chief Executive Aged and Community Care, Kevin Mercer, said the drop-in session will give residents the opportunity to view the development plans in detail and chat to the Mercy Health team.

“We encourage anyone who might have a question about our proposal or is simply interested in viewing the plans to come and say hi,” Mr Mercer said.

“We are excited to be able to bring retirement living solutions to Bendigo and we hope the community will support us to make this a reality.”

Mercy Health’s Retirement Living Unit development is planned to be completed in stages and includes a community centre, walking paths and landscaping featuring existing native trees.

Residents can attend the drop-in session for as little or as long as they would like. Alternatively, anyone with questions about Mercy Health’s Bendigo Retirement Living Units can email informationBHA@mercy.com.au or call 5440 8200.

The development application documents can be viewed online at www.bendigo.vic.gov.au/planning or by visiting the City of Greater Bendigo Hopetoun Mill Office, 15 Hopetoun Street, Bendigo.
