    Professor Sue Walker 

    Director of Perinatal Medicine at Mercy Hospital for Women, Sheila Handbury Chair of Maternal Fetal Medicine.

     

    Sue Walker is an obstetrician/ gynaecologist and sub-specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is Director of Perinatal Medicine at Mercy Hospital for Women, and was appointed to the Sheila Handbury Chair of Maternal Fetal Medicine, University of Melbourne in 2010. She is Clinical Director of the Victorian Fetal Therapy Service, a three-centre collaboration responsible for delivering fetal surgery services to the women of Victoria. She is a RANZCOG examiner and Councillor, Deputy Chair of the Women's Health Committee and Chair of the Maternal Fetal Medicine sub-specialty. She teaches at University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and University of Papua New Guinea. Her research interests include stillbirth, disorders of fetal growth, and the impact of sleep apnoea on obstetric outcomes.
