To celebrate International Nurses Day on 12 May and International Day of the Midwife on May 5, nurses and midwives in our Healthy Ageing and Health Services teams were recognised for their remarkable service. 

From our hospitals to our aged care homes, nurses and midwives are at the centre of care delivery at Mercy Health. Thank you to all our incredible nursing and midwifery staff, and congratulations to all award recipients! 

Nine Healthy Ageing nurses and 14 nurses and midwives from across Health Services were nominated for and received Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards for excellence in clinical practice, leadership, education and quality improvement and innovation. These outstanding staff demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm and exceptional clinical skills to ensure the very best outcomes for the people they support.
